Covid 19 Information
Given the unprecedented situation in the UK regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, I felt it was important to reassure you that we are continuing to keep our practice clean and safe, for you and our team, especially during the current national lockdown as of 4th January 2021.
You will appreciate that as a dental clinic, we work in an environment where prevention of the spread of a whole range of infections is woven into everything that we do.
Nevertheless, we are paying attention to the latest government guidance of the elevated transmission of the new coronavirus variant.
Keep us in the loop:
If your symptoms should change on the day before or on the day of your appointment please contact us prior to coming into the clinic.
Please remember to call us on 0207 486 0000 or email [email protected] with a copy to [email protected] to let us know if you want to rebook your appointments. We would be happy to schedule an alternative date for you with your safety and the safety of our team being our primary concern.
At your next appointment, please remember the following:
We will call you or email you, the day before your appointment to screen anyone experiencing a fever or a cough in the last 3 days prior to your appointment.
You will be asked to use alcohol gel as soon as you reach the clinic. We are currently taking your temperature with a contactless thermometer when you arrive at the practice, and we will re-assess your symptoms prior to entry to the clinic.
To prevent having too many patients in our waiting area at the same time, we ask you to attend at the time of your appointment and not earlier. We also ask you to attend alone where possible, unless you require an escort to collect you after the treatment. The current guidance does not allow for waiting prior to your appointment.
We ask you to respect social distancing for our front of house staff by arranging follow up appointments via telephone or email and by paying using contactless means or remotely, where possible.
In clinical settings, except where you have allergies, we will be asking you to perform a 20 second rinse with Peroxyl mouthwash, to reduce the microbes in your mouth prior to treatment. As standard we use rubber dams for isolation of teeth where possible during treatment and will continue to do so.
As any of our staff experiencing a fever or a cough will be asked to remain off work for 10-14 days, and thus we may be running a reduced service and ask for your understanding, should we need to rebook your appointment.
Currently we are running a split clinic, meaning that we have two teams working, each half of the week, who have no direct contact with each other. This will help us to ensure that there is little risk from spreading the virus to you or to each other, so that we can always have a team available to work.
Our clinical decontamination procedures are robust and more than adequate to prevent the spread of coronavirus. We will be continuing to restrict magazines and cups from our waiting area, cleaning our fridge door, coffee machine, toilet door handles and other common touch surfaces every 30 minutes.
We are not concerned about our supply chains as we have adequate stock levels in the practice and continue to replace stock as we are using it.
We are taking the threat to the health of our patients, staff and loved ones seriously and have put all contingency plans in place that we have been able to foresee. We want to continue to maintain your dental health and to prevent further dental disease and will continue to do so, as long as it is safe and within the guidance.
As government guidelines change, so too may our policies and protocols but we will keep you up to date along the way. Once again, thank you for your continued support and take care until we are able to see you again.
